FAQs

When will the program start?

The next round will start in September 2023! Join the waitlist now.

How much time will this take each week?

The weekly group Zoom meetings last for 90 minutes, and we will meet for 6 weeks. Each meeting will center around a module. We will spend 30-45 minutes going over the educational component and the rest of our time will be spent diving deeper into skills and your questions. Additionally, while it's not required, you may find it helpful to spend some time outside of group practicing the skills and strategies discussed. However, this is entirely optional and totally up to you.

Do I have to talk in group?

Nope! No one is going to make you talk if you don’t want to. I deeply believe that the more folks engage with the material and each other, the more they will get out of the program. But you will never be pressured to participate, and are welcome to share as little or as much as you would like.

Is this program for couples?

No, this is a program for folks to attend solo. It's designed for those who want to gain a deeper understanding of how to navigate sexual pain and move towards pleasure, regardless of their relationship status. Whether you are single, in a partnership, or in a non-traditional relationship structure, you are welcome to participate. While you attend solo, you are always welcome to share your learning materials with the people in your life.

Who is this program for? Who is this program not for?

This program is designed for individuals with vulvas who want to gain a deeper understanding about how work with their sexual pain and move towards a pleasurable sex life. This is an educational program, and is not intended to replace therapy, treat sexual trauma or replace medical care from a doctor. It's important to keep in mind that sexual pain can have a biological component, so seeking medical attention is crucial. While this program can be a valuable step in your sexual pain journey, a medical professional should be included as part of your care team.

Are the meetings virtual?

Yes! All group meetings will take place in our private Zoom room.

What if I can’t make the call?

I will provide a recording of the educational component, but I won't provide recordings of the entire call if you are unable to attend. This is because I place great importance on the sense of safety and confidentiality of all group members. While I understand this may be a disappointment, I believe strongly in safeguarding the confidentiality of the group space. However, you will still have access to the educational component discussed during that session and can bring any questions or concerns you may have to the next group meeting.

Is the group confidential?

Yes, these groups are as confidential as we can make them. Personal stories are shared in confidence and should remain so. To that end I like to say “What’s said here stays here, what learned here leaves here.”.

Do you offer a refund?

I do not offer refunds for the Pain to Pleasure Program. If you have any questions about the program, please don't hesitate to reach out to me through the contact page. I'm happy to provide any clarity that may help you decide if this program is the right fit for you. It's important to note that dealing with pain can be a challenging process, but a commitment to being all-in is essential for overcoming fear and avoidance, and ultimately, breaking the pain cycle.

Is this a group just for women? What about people who identify as trans or non-binary?

It is important to recognize that language is limited and often fails to capture the diverse experiences and identities of individuals. I acknowledge that the language that gets used in this group and in the materials of PTP will not encompass the full range of experiences and identities that exist within the realm of sexuality and gender. People of all gender identities and expressions who have a vulva and are comfortable in a femme-centric space are welcome to join this program.
